Yes, folks it’s Tom’s big %$(??? I won’t write it …but he doesn’t look a day over 40! I think it’s the fresh mountain Catskill air that keeps him so young. This blog is dedicated to our boss…Tom Bullard who has created not only an amazing place for you all to stay…but even better yet…a great place for all of us here to work! Thanks Tom…and Happy Birthday. Just wondering why that fresh mountain air isn’t working for me. UGH!
Happy Thanksgiving dear friends. John and I had a wonderful one. We welcomed into our home a new additon to the family…John’s 20 year old son Cameren! It was fantastic and we are so thrilled to have him in our life. Willy and Zelda approved–of course! We had amazing food, if I do say so myself…and great friends and family to share it all with. I hope you all had a healthy and happy one. Tonight is Gandalf Murphy at the Bearsville Theater…if I only had the energy I would be there. I am off to RI to visit with my family and pick up my dear brother Drew.
Next weekend in Woodstock….don’t miss Duke Robillard at the Midnight Ramble www.levonhelm.com Gosh, I remember seeing them in little Rhody down at Misquamicut Beach…many moons ago. Keep checking here for upcoming Woodstock Inn specials in conjuction with the Ramble in Jan., Feb. and maybe even March! Not to be missed!
Next weekend on the 4th don’t miss “3″ in concert at the Bearsville Theater. Joey Eppard’s guitar playing should not be missed…ever! On Saturday 12/5 catch the 4th annual “Holiday Fiasco” with Peter Schickele, Gilles Malkine & Mikhail Horowitz. It promises to shake your belly!
peace,
Karen

It’s rather balmy and gorgeous here this morning….all the more reason to drive up to the Catskills and…enjoy a free concert tonight at the Kleinart/James right up the street. The concert features Andrea Centazzo on percussion and Joe Giardullo on sax @8:30. Tomorrow night catch the genius of Jules Shear and Ed Sanders in their collaborative piece “The Surreal Housewives of Woodstock.” I think I qualify as one–so I am eager to hear what they’ve got cookin! Catch that show at Alchemy (right next to the Bear Cafe).
At the Bearsville Theater on Saturday night don’t miss The Brian Goss Band CD release party…awesome band….awesome venue!
Thanksgiving is right around the corner….dear me…it goes by so fast! John & I will be dining with a very special guest! Then its home to RI for me to celebrate my Dad’s birthday…73 and pick up my dear brother Drew who will come and spend a few days with us in Woodstock.
peace,
Karen

Well, I had planned on being in Ipswich, MA today to run a trail marathon….but instead settled for 4 miles on the hilly roads of Woodstock! My ankle took longer than expected to heal—so no marathon today. I had a great run today anyway! And I got to see some old friends, Jim & Dolores who I would have missed had I gone.
Tonight at The Colony Cafe catch Voodelic–an amazing local (Palenville) band that should not be missed. At the Ramble catch local super dude….Simone Felice and his band The Duke and the King opening for Levon www.levonhelm.com. Check out the band @ www.myspace.com/dukeandtheking Sure is a lot of talent here in the Catskills! Like Hallow Dog www.myspace.com/hallowdogband They will be at The Alchemy on November 14th and down in NYC at Sullivan Hall on Dec. 16th.
