My day off…

June 11th, 2010 by Innkeeper

My days off are spent running & swimming with puppies!! What a life!   So many guests comment on the life my dogs get to lead…you got that right.  I always remind them…Mom works hard so you can eat organic!  Ha..ha…

We take your comments seriously here…so get ready for our new environmentally sustainable cups, bowls and plates!!  Thanks Amy for researching tirelessly and finding these new & improved products.  They will make their debut as soon as I run through the stock of old stuff.

And by the way…the cottage is open this weekend.  I had a last minute cancellation…so treat yourself real good and come on up and spend a weekend in the lap of luxury!

Tonight…Jonathan Edwards!

April 16th, 2010 by Innkeeper

Yes, come to the Colony Cafe tonight www.colonycafe.com and hear one of my favorite songwriters ever!  I think I saw Jonathan Edwards for the first time when I was 16…my sister Laurie took me to a concert at URI while she was a student there.  What a show…I have seen him a few times after that and I am so thrilled he has come to Woodstock!  If I can get someone to watch the shop…I am there!  www.jonathanedwards.net ..Check out some of my favorite tunes…Emma, Sometimes…and on and on….

Summer???Winter???Which will it be?

April 9th, 2010 by Innkeeper

Ok, so it was 85 degrees on Wed. & Thurs. and today it is about 47??  I regret complaining about the heat on Thursday!  Still beautiful though…buds are budding and we are all psyched here for a real Catskill spring.   Deb has been working hard on our beautiful garden and the results are beginning to show.

This weekend  the Epiphany Project at the Bearsville Theater features Bet Williams and John Hodian.  Next weekend catch Grammy winners Inner Circle with special guest The Big Takeover.  More info at www.bearsvilletheater.com

At Woodstock’s newest venue–The Harmony…catch the amazing Jimmy Eppard this Saturday 4/10 at 8:30.    Yes, right next to Wok’N'Roll a new intimate music venue has started…some say it reminds them of the old Tinker St. Cafe..or Cafe Expresso from way back.  I caught the open mic about a week ago and I am thrilled that live music refuses to die in Woodstock.  There are concerts every weekend and on Wed. & Thurs. as well.  Let’s keep this one open folks!

Next weekend at the Kleinert/James Center (just a short walk from the Inn) Balinese Music & Dance by Gamelan Giri Mekar …  www.woodstockguild.org

Stay warm this weekend!

Tonight at the Bearsville Theater www.bearsvilletheater.com  catch Amos Lee.  Tomorrow night…the Midnight Ramble at Levon Helm’s  and I still have a few rooms left!
