In the 1940s, when travel was exotic and the Catskills were the ultimate sanctuary for tired, hot city folks, a motel was built on Tannery Brook Road. In the 60s, a pizza restaurant was operated between the motel and the stream. Families would spend Friday nights enjoying dinner, while the kids romped and played along the water’s edge.
