As if the Oscar hype weren’t enough, wet weather is certainly a perfect excuse for going to the movies! And right here in Woodstock we have some of the best offerings. This weekend those who are normally behind the screen will come to the forefront to talk about their craft. On Saturday Tracy Christian, the director of Street Journeys, an amazing and uplifting documentary about the street children of Nairobi will talk after the 2:30 showing. And on Sunday film maker Hanna Sawka will discuss creating Beyond Iconic, the story of Magnum photographer Dennis Stock, after its 1:30 screening. There will also be a gathering afterward at the Center for Photography at Woodstock. Click for more information about the movie showings. And make it a real theatrical weekend with a night at the Inn in between flicks. For reservations visit the Inn’s web page. Don’t pass up a chance to really escape for a weekend.
